I know what it’s like to live the life of an entrepreneur.
To the world, you’re smart, creative, exceptionally talented, and successful.
You’re an “out of the box” thinker.
You imagine being the next Uber or Airbnb.
Maybe even a future unicorn.
But the path hasn’t been easy.
You’ve had the success and done the “hustle thing.”
But it’s come at a high cost.
You’ve missed birthdays, Little League games, and anniversary dinners.
You’ve worked 16 hour days.
You’ve slept with your phone underneath your pillow.
The payments haven’t even cleared from your last launch, and you’re already thinking of the next step.
The goal posts keep moving.
You thought being an entrepreneur would create freedom, but it’s just created a fancy cage for yourself.
You’re ready to break out.
HOW I CAN HELP YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY
Hi. I’m Dr. Varghese (but please call me Melvin).
I’m a psychologist and successful entrepreneur.
I help entrepreneurs overcome the mental roadblocks that prevent success.
Our work together will always be collaborative.
Don’t worry…I’m not going to have you lay on a couch and keep saying “Hmm” to what you say.
Instead, we’ll identify your unique strengths and your blind spots.
We’ll discover what you believe in and how you can create a business that aligns with these values.
That way, you’re intentionally creating a business you’re proud of.
We’ll laugh together (probably at my expense).
I’ll gently challenge you to break old patterns of thinking and acting that are stopping you from achieving success.
I use a variety of research-based strategies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness.
We’ll learn helpful skills like learning to observe your thoughts without judging them and ways to focus in the moment despite chaos all around you.
My goal is to give you the mental training, skills, and strategies to perform at your peak.
We meet online using highly-secure video conferencing software.
That way, we can meet from home, the beach, or whether you’re traveling.
In my 10 years of counseling others, I’ve learned the connection you feel with your counselor is one of the best predictors of you feeling better.
That’s why I offer a FREE 20 min consultation.
This way I can answer any questions you have and we can decide, together, whether we’re a good fit.
THANK YOU (AND A BIT ABOUT ME)
Whether we work together or not, I ‘m grateful that you’re here.
Take care of your mind is one of the best decisions you can make for yourself, your business, and those who love you.
Here’s a glance at my own entrepreneurial journey.
A healthy, bundle of joy was born in Kerala, India
The Young Entrepreneur
My parents told me that I loved to create as a kid. Here’s a picture of me making either a rocket or a house (I can’t believe my parents let me use a saw at age 5!)
Wanting to provide a better life our family, my parents immigrated to the U.S (Texas). Leaving all that you’ve known and having to learn a new language has been one of the hardest but most rewarding things I’ve done.
High School Graduation
First in my family to graduate high school and attend college in the US.
Completed Bachelors in Psychology.

Entrepreneurship and Social Justice
Spent 3 weeks in Bombay, India working with an NGO helping to end human sex trafficking (Bombay has the largest concentrated red light district in the world). Decided to use my abilities to better the world and not just create income.
Met my future wife on a humanitarian trip to New Orleans helping rebuilt houses hit by Hurricane Katrina. Never imagined a Cowboys fan and Eagles fan living in one house =P.
Grad School Over!
After 5 years, a 120 page dissertation, and over 3,000 hours of counseling others from those directly impacted by 9/11 to brilliant thinkers, to special forces soldiers, I graduated with my PhD.
Completed internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
